Two Moroccan military aircraft, laden with essential humanitarian supplies, touched down at El Arich airport in eastern Egypt on Wednesday morning.

This compassionate endeavor aligns with the directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, who also serves as the Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, aimed at providing urgent humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people.

The cargo carried by these two aircraft, destined for the Gaza Strip through the Rafah land border crossing, encompasses substantial quantities of food, medical supplies, and potable water.

Supervising the reception of this aid at El Arich airport was Morocco’s Ambassador in Cairo and its permanent delegate to the Arab League, Ahmed Tazi, along with members of the Moroccan embassy.

Ambassador Tazi emphasized that this assistance underscores His Majesty the King’s unwavering dedication to the Palestinian cause. He further noted that all relevant departments have been diligently mobilized to expedite the execution of this mission and the distribution of these supplies to the Palestinian population, in strict accordance with the Royal directives.

This humanitarian aid will be handed over to the Egyptian Red Crescent, responsible for its transportation to Palestinian territories in close coordination with relevant Palestinian authorities. Ambassador Tazi underscored that these operations adhere to agreements established in collaboration with Egyptian authorities, taking into account the security considerations surrounding the Rafah crossing.
