Morgan Wallen Returns with ‘I’m the Problem’ Tour After Legal Drama
Deep Look
LAS VEGAS — Morgan Wallen is turning the page on a tumultuous chapter of his life as he prepares to hit the road for his I’m the Problem stadium tour. The tour announcement follows the resolution of legal troubles stemming from his widely publicized chair-throwing incident in Nashville.
New Music and Tour Announcement
Wallen’s fourth studio album, I’m the Problem, is set for release on January 31. The title track, which mirrors the singer’s recent acknowledgment of personal struggles, highlights his ability to weave vulnerability into his music. To celebrate the album’s debut, Wallen will embark on a 19-show stadium tour, joined by a rotating lineup of country stars, including Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett, and Koe Wetzel.
“As I’ve been working on new music, it has inspired me to get back on the road and share these songs with you,” Wallen said in a statement.
Legal Drama and Guilty Plea
In April 2024, Wallen was arrested after throwing a chair off the sixth floor of Chief’s, a Nashville bar co-owned by Eric Church. The incident, which occurred during his One Night at a Time tour, resulted in charges of disorderly conduct and three counts of felony reckless endangerment.
In December, Wallen pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment. He was sentenced to seven days at a DUI education center, two years of probation, and a $350 fine. If Wallen successfully completes probation, the charges will be eligible for dismissal and expungement under Tennessee’s Diversion Statute.
“Mr. Wallen has cooperated fully with authorities and remains committed to making a positive impact through his music and foundation,” his attorney, Worrick Robinson, said.
A Career Built on Resilience
Despite personal setbacks, Wallen’s career continues to soar. In 2024, he earned seven nominations at the Country Music Association Awards, including Entertainer of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year. Known for hits like “Whiskey Glasses” and “Last Night,” Wallen has broken records and captivated fans with his blend of heartfelt lyrics and high-energy performances.
His One Night at a Time tour drew massive crowds and glowing reviews, with Wallen expressing gratitude for his fans: “We made so many lifelong memories on that tour. I’m beyond grateful.”
What’s Next for Wallen?
The I’m the Problem tour represents more than just a promotional effort; it’s a chance for Wallen to reconnect with fans and move past the controversies that have at times overshadowed his music. With high-profile collaborators and a renewed focus on personal growth, Wallen is poised to continue his rise as one of country music’s biggest stars.
“I can’t wait to see y’all on the road,” Wallen said.
