Morocco’s King in Support of the Palestinian Cause \ Newslooks \Washington\ On Wednesday in Manama, Minister of Youth, Culture, and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, underscored the significant efforts of His Majesty King Mohammed VI in advocating for the Palestinian cause. Speaking on behalf of Morocco’s ambassador to Bahrain, Mustapha Benkhyi, during the opening of the 54th session of the Arab Information Ministers’ Council, Bensaid detailed how, under the enlightened leadership of King Mohammed VI, Morocco has consistently supported the Palestinian people in their pursuit of all legitimate rights. Foremost among these is the right to establish an independent state along the June 4, 1967 borders, with Al-Quds as its capital.

Bensaid elaborated that the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency, operating under the personal supervision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, who serves as Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, remains dedicated to its mission of enhancing the living conditions of the Holy City’s residents. The agency responds directly to the needs of the population through comprehensive projects in the economic, social, housing, education, and cultural sectors. With a budget of nearly 65 million dollars, the agency has initiated 200 major projects, along with numerous small and medium-sized projects, aimed at addressing the various needs of Al-Quds’ inhabitants.

Further highlighting Morocco’s commitment, Bensaid emphasized that the country’s leadership in the Arab Information Ministers’ Council came at a critical time marked by significant developments in the media and communication sectors, driven by profound geopolitical upheavals in the Arab region. This period necessitated a strategic focus on reinforcing collective Arab media efforts, aiming to qualify, adapt, and elevate the effectiveness of joint Arab media initiatives.

Bensaid stressed the importance of unity and collaborative effort in strengthening Arab media actions. This includes fostering a shared understanding of the regional issues and ensuring that the media’s role is maximized to support and highlight the Palestinian cause. By enhancing the quality and impact of media coverage, Morocco aims to contribute significantly to the broader Arab effort in promoting peace, stability, and justice in the region.

In conclusion, Bensaid reiterated Morocco’s unwavering dedication to the Palestinian cause under the visionary leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. Through sustained efforts and strategic initiatives, Morocco continues to champion the rights of the Palestinian people, supporting their quest for an independent state and improved living conditions in Al-Quds, reinforcing the deep-rooted solidarity between the Moroccan and Palestinian peoples.
